    A depilatory device for removing body hair comprises a manually-grippable housing (2), and a hair-plucker body (10) rotatably mounted to the housing (2) and having an exposed section formed with a plurality of gaps (20) in its outer surface which open and close during the rotation of the hair-plucker body (10) to receive, pluck, and eject body hair growing on a surface over which the hair-plucker body is moved. The hair-plucker body (10) is a flexible cylindrical member of plastic or elastomeric material having a smooth outer surface formed with a plurality of slits (20) penetrating only partially through the cylindrical member (10) and extending circumferentially thereof. The cylindri­cal member is rotated about its longitudinal axis (16) and is supported in an arcuate position such that the slits open at the convex side (10a) of the cylindrical member during its rotation to receive the hairs between the open confronting faces of the slits (20), and close at the concave side (10b) of the cylindrical member during its rotation to clamp the hairs between the closed confronting faces of the slits (20).

    This invention relates to plucking devices used to remove hair for cosmetic purposes.
    The purpose of the invention is to reduce the pain effect.
    FIG. 1 shows the device, a general view; in fig. 2 - part of a plastic rod with pinching areas; in fig. 3.4 — parts of the rod with different cross-sectional shape of the clamping sections, cuts; in fig. 5 shows section A-A in FIG. 2; in fig. 6, 7 — rod embodiments, transverse cuts; in fig. 8 - the second variant of the device, a general view.
    The plucking device for hair removal comprises a body 1 held in hands, in which a flexible cylindrical working element 2 is installed rotatably with respect to the longitudinal axis, having an arcuate section 3 extending beyond the case body, on the outer side of which there are a number of hair entrapment sections 4, made with the possibility of closing and opening when it is rotated to ensure pulling of the trapped hair, and an electric motor 5 for driving the working element 2. The latter is made in the form of plastics ssovogo rod with a cylindrical working surface, and the guide portions are formed by pinched recesses, the length of each of which is part of its circumference. The notches can be V-shaped (FIG. 2) and U-shaped (FIG. 3), but with any shape of the wall, the notches have a flat configuration. In both cases, when uncovered

    In the grooves, sufficiently wide surfaces are formed for contact with the hair to be removed, which increases the effectiveness of the subsequent gripping and pulling out the hair. The contact of the hair with the work element is made not at a point, but at a certain length of hair. For the grooves of the U-shaped form, the tendency is to keep the hair removed from the skin after their opening, which facilitates the process of ejecting the removed hair from the groove. The effectiveness of the process of discarding the removed hair is also enhanced by the fact that the circumferential length of each notch is less than the circumference of the working element, preferably less than half the length of its circumference. Work item 2 is made of monolithic. A switch 6 is mounted on the housing 1 to turn the engine 5 on and off. The housing 1 has a column 7 with a bearing 8 in which one end of the operating element 2 is fixed and its other end is connected to the electric motor 5. The arcuate section 4 of the working element 2 forms the central angle no more than 90 °.
    In the device shown in FIG. 8, the work item 2 may have a monolithic or hollow structure. The central angle of the arcuate portion of the operating element is 180 °, with both ends of the element being connected to the electric motor 5. One end of the element 2 is connected by a gear 9, which is engaged with the gear 10, and the opposite end is connected to one end of the shaft. element 2 by means of a gear wheel 11, which engages with a gear wheel 12. is connected with the opposite end of the shaft of the electric motor 5.
    The device is used as follows.
    The body 1 is taken into the arm, the switch b switches on the driving motor 5 and moves the curved plastic cylindrical element 2 along the skin surface on which the hair to be removed grows. The device should be held at an angle to the skin surface so that the curved element 2 touches the skin surface with its convex side along a line slightly displaced in the direction of rotation of the element relative to the contour line of the convex surface of the element. Thus, the curved cylindrical element contacts the skin at that moment when notches 4 are fully opened and begin to close. The hair growing on the skin first falls into the open grooves of the element 2, with further rotation of which the grooves close, clamp the hair caught in them and eventually pull them out with subsequent throwing.
    Instead of a monolithic cylindrical element 2, hollow work elements may be used in the hair removal device. In this case, the depth of extraction should be less (in Fig. 6, the recess 4 of the element 2) or more (in Fig. 7, the recess 4 of the element 2) of the wall thickness of the element 2.
    The plastic cylindrical element is characterized by a soft sensation 5 and a lower probability of pinching the skin during its movement over the skin surface.
    The use of plastic as a material for an elastic cylindrical element of a hair removal device eliminates the likelihood of a user being shocked by electric current and eliminates the need to use a step-down transformer when powering the drive motor 5 from an AC network.

    1.Manual plucking device for hair removal, comprising a body in which a flexible cylindrical working element is mounted so as to rotate relative to the longitudinal axis, having an arcuate portion protruding beyond the body, on the outer side of which there are a number of pinching parts made with the possibility of closing and opening when it is rotated to ensure pulling of the trapped hair, and an electric motor for driving the working element, so that it is reduced in order to and a painful effect, the working element is made in the form of a plastic rod with a cylindrical working surface, and the protective sections are formed by notches, the length of each of which is part of its circumference.
